Transforming New Technologies into Solutions
for Our Clients

Business migration to the cloud is not just a technological goal. It is a paradigm shift in data utilization, says Margarita Naumova, founder and managing director of Inspirit and author of SQL Master Academy.
What sparked your interest in data management and analytics, and what motivation has driven your success in becoming part of the top 1% of SQL Server specialists worldwide?
I have been working with databases since my university years. This world attracted me with its structured nature. Later, as a lecturer, I delved deeply into the theoretical aspects of this science. The logic behind database management is a form of “beautiful mathematics,” and I have always had a passion for mathematics.
When I changed my career path and left academia, I discovered the practical aspects of database management and analytics systems, which ultimately convinced me that this was my field. I directed my ambitions and efforts entirely in this direction.
Training and certification in Redmond gave me the opportunity to join a community of dedicated technology experts of global stature, with whom I continue to collaborate today. My expertise has opened doors to international projects worldwide, providing me with skills and experience.
I have always set high, even seemingly impossible goals that align with my vision of myself, inspire me, and follow my passion. These goals then become my focus, a disciplined plan, and a project that must be successfully completed. Success, in itself, is inspiring. However, my primary motivation—especially in challenging times—is the knowledge I will gain along the way, how much I will have learned after achieving my goals, and how much better I will become at what I do.

Why did you establish a second company in Norway after Inspirit Bulgaria?
Inspirit is a company that provides three types of services:
- Consulting services for designing solutions in SQL Server, Infrastructure, and Business Intelligence Data Platforms (both on-premises and Azure-based);
- SQL Server infrastructure support services;
- Technology training, based on a proprietary curriculum through SQL Master Academy.
The Inspirit team is structured according to the services the company provides. In our projects, consultants and Academy instructors are professionals who have undergone a rigorous internal preparation process. This process includes intensive training, gradual project involvement, and responsibility scaling in accordance with their level of expertise.
These principles apply whether we operate in Bulgaria or Norway. My personal ambition for the team—beyond our core mission of being impeccable service providers—is to develop the potential of every individual. We carefully select colleagues to join Inspirit, ensuring they share our values and vision.
Expanding into new markets is a significant challenge, entirely different from the technological ones I have faced. However, it is a journey where you inevitably improve, strive for excellence, refine standards, and continuously learn and optimize to achieve precision and trust.
What are the major challenges in cloud migration, and how do cloud technologies change the way companies store and process data?
For me, the biggest challenges in cloud migration are related to building the vision that should guide this transition. Data migration to the cloud is not just a technological goal—it is a paradigm shift in data utilization. It is a step toward data democratization, enabling practically unlimited possibilities for data sharing, integration, and access to vast computational resources for processing.
Often, the trigger for cloud migration is a technological challenge, but once the solution matures, organizations are faced with bigger questions:
“What’s next? Where do we start? Which technologies should we choose?”
In many cases, the reason an organization considers cloud migration is just “the last straw” rather than the actual problem. Our role as consultants is to provoke meaningful discussions, carefully listen, and translate the business needs into technological solutions. We help clarify the idea, define the ultimate goals, and align them with the business rationale.
Once this is achieved, the “easier part” follows—choosing the architecture, designing the solution, development, knowledge transfer, support, and optimization. The strength of the Inspirit team lies in our ability to listen and truly understand our clients.
Which innovations are shaping the future of data management? What is your role in the successful transformation and development of businesses in this process?
The first major trend is the rise of Artificial Intelligence services. It is still too early to define the exact impact of AI on data management, but it is undoubtedly a game-changer.
The second innovation is reducing the time from data creation to its analysis. A prime example of this is Microsoft Fabric, which unifies all the necessary resources—similar to OneDrive—into a single workspace for data extraction, model creation, analysis tools, and sharing capabilities.
Our role is to master these new technologies, adapt them to our clients’ needs, and transform them into solutions that drive business growth.
Inspirit and SQL Master Academy are active supporters of the SQL and BI community in Bulgaria. In this role, we strive to present innovations, organize workshops, events, and presentations to introduce our colleagues to the cutting-edge technological advancements in our field.
